5 Tips to Up Your Facebook Game

1. Create A Facebook Page For Your Business

If you do not have an existing Facebook page, they are incredibly easy to create. Facebook is home to over 1.4 billion active users so this opens a huge opportunity to expand your business’ reach.


Keep in mind it’s important to link your personal account to your business page instead of creating a “dummy” account. Using a “dummy” account goes against Facebook’s terms of service and can lead to them shutting down your business page.

If you do not want to post from your personal account, you can choose to post under the page’s name. If you go into the Facebook settings under “post attribution” you can switch how your posts appear.

2. Optimize Your “About” Information

Make it super easy for new followers to navigate your Facebook page. Follow along with the Facebook prompts and fill out all of the sections with information about your business. Make sure to include a bio of what you do, your business hours, locations and a link to your website! Keep in mind, you can always go back later and update or change anything you feel is necessary.


Tip: Create milestones to share your brand’s history. Go to the about section and click on milestones to edit.

3. Create A Recognizable Profile & Cover Photo

It is extremely important to have eye-catching graphics or photos for your Facebook Page to get the most visibility on Facebook. Add a cover photo and profile picture that will catch and hold a new viewer’s attention and reinforce your brand with existing followers.

Your profile picture is a perfect place to make use of your logo. As for your cover photo, use a creative and engaging photo that aligns with your company’s style.

4. Post Engaging Content

5. Keep Your Customers Happy

This is your chance to show your customers you care about them. Monitor the comments in your feed and respond to them frequently.
